"This review is long overdue. Smiley worked with us on the purchase of a house this past spring, and he did a great job. We were on a tight timeline to buy a place before we went overseas, and Smiley hit the ground running with us.
He's professional and knowledgeable, and a great advocate for living in Vancouver, and East Van in particular. We'd originally thought we might have to move our home search farther east, into Burnaby or New West - but in the end, we were able to find a place in our desired neighbourhood (and budget), thanks to Smiley.
We didn't expect to find someone who "got" us in quite the same way. It was basically like hanging out with a friend (one sunny day, we even hopped on our bikes and cycled to open houses). He was communicative and honest, and not afraid to tell it like it is. For instance, he bluntly warned us away from a couple of properties that could have been money pits, which we really appreciated.
